About Us
Amherst Environmental Laboratory offers water testing to commercial and private entities. We test for microbiology and chemistry. We offer a basic test for coliform bacteria, to determine if your drinking water is potable (drinkable). We also perform a range of chemical analysis tests, such as Ph, Alkalinity, Hardness, and Mineral analysis.
Omar Awad, the Lab Director, worked for the Massachusetts State Department of Environmental Protection for 12 years, certifying laboratories. In 1985, he started Amherst Environmental Lab, performing tests for cities, businesses, and private individuals. In 2000, he decided to focus on commercial and private entities.
